PB & J Skirt Pattern

Decades of Style

Peanut butter and jelly? Maybe. This gorgeous skirt from the early 1950s is based on a couture skirt from a designer with the initials PB. But then again, PB could stand for pleats and buttons - which are the central design details of this vintage skirt. J - stands for the “joy”of sewing it yourself - of course!

Center front panel cut on straight of grain joins to bias cut side front panels. Pleat and button details at waist edge. Center back zipper. Faced waist edge. Optional side seam pockets. Pattern includes all 9 sizes. Suitable fabrics include medium or bottom weight fabrics: linen, woolens, suitings, cotton.

Decades of Style are professionally made patterns from vintage designs. There are often fun and unusual pattern making techniques. Great instructions.
