Fitting issues or dreams of designing?  There are a few things you should know:

Learn basic pattern making concepts with Karen by going through the beginning steps of patterning and fitting for your own measurements !  This class will teach you techniques including pattern marking, measurement breakdowns, pattern card descriptions, and how to understand the construction concepts of transforming your pattern from paper to a wearable garment.

The class involves making a tissue bodice sloper, helping you to learn the maximum amount of alterations needed to make a fashion pattern. These skills can be transferred directly to a fashion pattern of your choice!

Karen Tinney earned her Palmer/Pletch Certified Sewing Instructor certification in July 2011. With 45 years of sewing experience under her belt, she has opened her own successful custom sewing and alterations business, Pinnacle Sewing Service! We are excited to have her share her knowledge and enthusiasm!

This class is great for intermediate students who have completed at least 2 of the beginning classes and are looking to start patterning and fitting.
