Looking to expand your creative abilities? Here's the perfect opportunity to learn a simple project with a million possibilities! Monica will help you generate your own images on fabric in this screen printing workshop. You'll learn the essentials of printmaking that can easily be duplicated at home, once you've learned here! The class covers the basics of drawing and cutting a stencil, running ink through the screen and setting the ink for a crisp, clean image that has limitless possible uses!

This class is a great place to Start Sewing.  It's a beginning sewing class for people who have little or no sewing experience.


Screen Printing Supply List*:

1 - 8x10 mylar sheet
1 permanent marker
1 Xacto knife
1 cutting mat (or magazine)
1 silk screen
1 squeegee
screen-printing ink(s) (black works great)
1 - 1/2 yd solid color fabric for print
recycled containers (like sour cream size) for ink
plastic spoons
scratch paper
masking tape

*The only thing that you need to purchase is the 1/2 yard of fabric; everything else will be provided at the class! The above list is what you will need if you do this by yourself at home!

 

 

For all classes:
We are project oriented and we make sure you leave class with a finished project.
Classes take place at Selvedge.  (on the Hip Strip at 509 S Higgins Ave) 
Stop by Selvedge before class to sign up and to get 15% off your supplies.
Our classes have a minimum and maximum number of students.  If not enough people sign up we will have to cancel the class.
Due to our small class sizes we cannot accommodate cancellations. We will be happy to reschedule you one time.
